9/11 and World Peace

As an Army Veteran, I often look at things from both sides of the picture. I know that soldiers proudly serve their countries in an effort to protect their fellow citizens from harm. It is unfortunate however when events occur that display to us the worst of human cruelty towards one another.

Perhaps one day we can all learn to be citizens of the world and stop dividing each other for obscure reasons. Whether it is one’s nationality, creed, tribe, ethnicity, gender, color or sexual orientation, these things are beyond our control. None of us chooses where we are born or who we are born to. So, is that a reason to think ourselves better or superior to another? No!

It is all chance that dictates all of the above. On this 9/11 anniversary, I hope we can look at the historical tragedies of our human race and become better. Learn from history in order not to repeat it. Have an awesome day.
